This is Khorus and I presentation for Idioms.

For this task we got given some idioms and we have to try and find out what the idioms mean E.g. "Pay The Piper" which means you need to face the consequences of you actions.

The Stranger I'll Never Forget! A little beautiful talented Mermaid with moonlight streaks Lila, looks up at the stars as she strokes her hands, pushing through the waves forming ripples. Then suddenly ... Lila gets inhaled into a swirling rip. Shes breathless, Lila finds herself in a Mountain , a mysterious mountain .

 She mumbles to herself “Father! Help me! I’m here”. All of a sudden the weather changes Dark Black brushy clouds cover the mountain then in a flash lighting strikes the water.Blue smoke fills the mountains. Lila coughs. She swims but she feels uncomfortable, like she doesn't have her tail.

She peeks down and she has two long feet. At first she thinks they’re long weird sticks with 5 short sticks at the top. There was no sign of her family so she ran to the nearest village. It was quiet too quiet that could only mean she wasn't there yet.  This was it ,the moment she never visualised. Shadows like Lila. She asked people to help her change her back into a Mermaid but they just thought she was just a mental little girl who asked people silly questions.

As the moon hides behind the clouds an odd stranger strolls up to her and asks her “Do you need help?” “Yes please.” She replied. He takes her to his crib far away from the village. When they arrived he grabs a few things in his house then she suddenly clicks and finds out that he is a scientist, according to all of his chemicals and lab coats that she sees around .

 The scientist asked her what she need’s help with. She replies “ I need help with changing back to a mermaid.” She says. “You still haven’t told me your name.” “My name is Lila.” she says. He mumbles, “I am Dr Frank and you can trust me. I’ve seen you before with a herd of mermaids.” He asks her politely to lay down on the table. He injects her with mermaid potions. She screams but softly then all of a sudden theres a fishy kind of smell. Lila yells with excitement as soon as she sees...

 That’s how she became a mermaid. She can change back into a human, so any time she is on land she is a human and every time she touches water she is a mermaid. DEDICATED TO MAKO MERMAIDS.

Baby Elephant Narrative.

One sunny day lived a baby elephant named Joey. He was a lonely elephant he would swim by himself, he would eat by himself, and he would have a walk by himself.

My skin was rough as a rock my mother and father had died from salvation I was taking a walk and then BOOM, CRASH  I had crashed into a tree because he was too busy looking on the ground thinking about his mother and his father.

I had no friends at all. So I  went back to the africa  to go to sleep. As he was walking he could see my habitat,  and it was all ruined all of my tents was all ripped up I thought it must be the hunters.

He thought that because his mother and father died from them so that was Joey’s nightmare hunters joey ran to hide so he won’t die but BANG I bumped into one of the hunters but Maria then kicked him in  leg and slapped him with my trunk.

Joey ran as fast as I can so they other hunters won’t catch him. So I  ran and he ran like a jet plane but the jet plane doesn't run.

And then I looked back and I had lost the hunters.    

Tsunami narrative Writing T4.

 

At the beach I stand frozen like a Ice crystal. Looking at huge gigantic waves rushing over to me. What’s going to happen? Family’s is suffering as the call their children from the park, waves walking towards cars as he is killing people inside them.  I say to my self “ Am I gonna be safe am I gonna die” I say to me self as see people dying from the wave.

“Oh no! kids are crying for their mommies and their daddy’s. The waves caught my eye as I run towards my family my brother’s and sister are drowning as they are trying to swim to my mother and father.

Mum and dad trying to save them but it was too late the had already drowned. I said to myself “It was all my fault I should've helped them but instead I just stood there staring at them like I was the murdera”. I try not to cry I tried to stay strong for my mum and dad as they are pouring down with tears. I stop and I said

“No No it is my responsibility to look after my brother’s and sister”. Me and mum and dad ran for our lives as the waves are chasing us, mum is slowing down so dad carried her and dad was getting tired and dad almost dropped mum so mum hopped of dad and ran as fast as she can.

She was running like usain bolt dad was getting left behind and the waves was like 2 centimetre back from him so I went back for dad as mum is still running so I risk my life for my dad. Me and dad tried to catch up to mum but she was gone she had vanished but then dad saw her taking a breath and and off she went but then I screamed out  “Mum wait for me and dad” she did not listen she just keep running and she would not listen all she wanted to do was run away and stay away from the tsunami.

“I think because us people hurt him and and how the splash must mean that we are whacking him and he must not feel comfortable so he decide to change that feeling and have his revenge back”

“Yes says the tsunami I want my revenge back because i am sick of getting hurt and I am sick of kids peeing on me I don’t like that so I want to put an end to this right now.

Why do you want revenge?

Storm Description.

Title: Rain Struggling. Author: Quitah Laile Description: Scary rain trying to drown me as I am swimming across the water.I scream for help and all that replied was the wind scaring me with fright.Houses getting shocked down as the power lines fall.The water running at my face as I am trying to speak.The rain struggling as it is trying to stop.I can hear a million trees swooshing and blowing across my ears.Thunder got my attention as I was trying to survive.The storm forcing me as it is paralyzing me with fear in my eyes.I struggle as I am swimming across to the other side and as I do I could feel this thing underneath my feet it felt like a rock.Power line electric shot me as I am in the water.The water runs away from the drain wanting to survive.The wind kills the heaviness in the rain.

 It was a furious evening when something just shot out of my head I stood there still like a crystal frightened of what was going to happen I heard a sound of a fire blasting out of the corner shining in my eyes wanting them to be blind. It was a dragon.The village screams to DEATH as the dragon viously flies out of the corner.Villages getting burnt from all the breath the dragon takes he doesn’t realize what he has done to the earth. `` Paralyzed when I saw the fear in the dragons eyes it shock me with fear. I felt like someone is trying to kill me at night.The dragon spoke with his fire and I said to myself “ What's going on” I heard the sound again and.The dragon fired the whole world until he could see smoke rising from the top to the bottom he made sure no one was alive.The smoke tried to kill me as I caufed it felt like I was poisoned I didn’t feel well. The dragon caught attention as it tried to kill me I froze like nothing was going to happen I closed my eyes and counted to 10 and when I open my eyes the dragon vanished. As I look around every where I could just see pitch grey because of all the smoke that the dragon had did with his mean scary outrageous beastly fire. The dragons skin look like a rock been scraped apart but uglier it had bumps all over his skins the sky been shot from all the smoke travelling through through them. The dragon was more scared than me and much more frightened than me.. An hour later the smoke disappeared from a blink I took I could not believe it. The fire beasting out of the dragons mouth

like it wants to burn me.
